Junior Speech Tournament

DATE: Friday, April 25, 2008

LOCATION: ChristChurch Baptist Fellowship, 12501 Champion Forest Drive, Houston, Texas, 77066. www.christchurchbaptist.org.

JUNIOR SPEECH DIVISION: A Junior Speech Division for beginning speakers age 12 and below will be offered alongside the NCFCA Region IV Qualifying Tournament on Friday. A 12-year-old student may not compete in both speech divisions at the same tournament. The events (Oratory, Interpretive, and Impromptu) offered will be generally run with NCFCA rules but with a 5-minute maximum time limit. NCFCA Affiliation is not required for Junior participants. There will be no mandatory penalties in rank for Junior Speech events. Due to tournament resource constraints, each Junior speech event costs $8, and participation may need to be limited. Please number your Junior speech events in order of preference in case the participation needs to be limited.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: Registration for this tournament is completed via e-mail (ncfca.region4@gmail.com) AND snail mail (to Joy Larimer, P O Box 6180, Farmington, NM 87499).
